Innovative Pet Product Search
Do you have a great and revolutionary pet idea? ![]()
We spend so much time with our pets, it makes sense that at one point or another many of us have had a revelation about the perfect pet invention. (Although, if you’re like me, most of those ideas seemed less than stellar the next morning.)
Well, this is your chance to resurrect those magnificent brainstorms into the next best thing for pets!
Through July 9 , 2009, PetSmart has teamed up with Edison Nation to encourage pet parent to submit their ideas for interactive pet toys and products that will help keep companion animals of all kinds, shapes and sizes entertained while their people are away.
“There’s a huge demand for products that will keep pets happy, occupied and distracted from more destructive behavior while their owners are away,” says Bruce Richardson, PetSmart spokesman.
Individuals whose ideas are selected for development will receive a $2500 advance and percentage of future product sales for up to 20 years. There is a $25 fee to enter each idea, which covers Edison Nation’s screening process. There is no limit set for the number of ideas that may be selected from this search.![]()
Anyone with a great idea for a new pet toys or products can send it to PetSmart’s Live Product Search submission page. Edison Nation’s Web 2.0 format allows individuals to safely and securely share their intellectual property with the potential to earn money on their ideas.
The contest asks participants to think beyond the ordinary and to focus on products that improve the lives of pets and pet parents everywhere. In addition to cats and dogs, don’t forget about birds, bunnies, fish and ferrets plus smaller critters like geckos, turtles and hamsters.
Good luck!

I bought the window that you put on the fence. I think my 2 dogs love it because they are always looking who is walking by and checking if there is a dog walking by.

My nephew invented a thing that throws tennis ball really hard and far away. But I saw the same thing on the internet. Can we submit this thing even if you find something that looks and does the same?
